Biography

Jocelyn Moore is a freelance oboe & english horn player in the Philadelphia area. She has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Wilmington BalletBlack Pearl Chamber Orchestra, Bay Atlantic Symphony, and previously held the positions of Second Oboe with Symphony in C and oboist of the Whitman Winds. In addition to these groups, Jocelyn has also performed with a number of notable contemporary artists such as Amy Grant, Hanson, and Boyz II Men.

Outside of her career as a performer, Jocelyn is a strong advocate for music education. She maintains a private teaching studio and is the Vice President of Education and Community Outreach for Symphony in C, where she works to bring music programs to students throughout Camden. She was also previously on the staff of Temple Music Preparatory Division’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians and the faculty of Play On, Philly!.

Jocelyn received a Master of Music degree from Temple University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Duquesne University. Her primary teachers include Peter Smith and James Gorton.
